CRUMBED CHICKEN WINGS and CRUMBED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS WITH PAP AND TOMATO & ONION GRAVY

Ingredients for 4

  • 4 Sadia Crumbed Chicken Wings
  • 4 Sadia Crumbed Chicken Drumsticks
  • 600g mealie meal, cooked

Tomato & Onion Gravy

  • 30ml oil
  • 1 onion, peeled and diced
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ green pepper, diced
  • 6 tomatoes, chopped
  • 5ml paprika
  • 3ml cayenne pepper
  • 15ml sugar
  • 180ml water

To Serve:

  • Fresh parsley (optional)
  • Red chilli, sliced (optional)

Preparation:

  • 1. Cook the Sadia Chicken Wings & Drumsticks according to the packet instructions.
  • 2. For the tomato & onion gravy, heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion and garlic over a low heat for 5 minutes. Add the green pepper and tomato and cook for another 5 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 – 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 3. Spoon the mealie into serving bowls and top with the tomato & onion gravy. Serve with the Sadia Crumbed Chicken Wings and Crumbed Chicken Drumsticks. Garnish with parsley and red chilli, if desired.
